Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Tribe is built by Black Diamond Apps.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email, profile photo), information generated during gameplay (answers, scores, session participation), device information (device type, OS version, unique device identifiers), and usage data (features used, time spent in app).

Camera & Microphone Data

When you participate as a broadcaster or contestant, your camera and microphone are used to stream live video and audio to other session participants. This stream is transmitted in real time and is not stored by Tribe after the session ends. Viewers do not transmit any audio or video.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Tribe service, manage your account and points balance, send notifications about live sessions and account activity, respond to support requests, and analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who assist in operating Tribe (including 100ms for video streaming and Firebase for real-time features), and as required by law. All service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Points & Transaction Data

Your points balance, transaction history, and merchandise redemptions are stored securely in our database. This information is used to manage your rewards and is not shared with third parties except where required to fulfill merchandise orders.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us directly. Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes for up to 7 years.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Tribe account.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

Tribe is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of Tribe after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
